If your fireplace isn’t turning on, a smell of eggs or gas permeates the home, your methane or carbon monoxide detectors sound the alarm, or you can hear a hissing sound around your fireplace, then your fireplace needs an inspection as soon as possible. These are potentially dangerous problems that need to be addressed.
Gas lines become clogged with debris such as local agriculture, spider webs, and dust from inside or outside the home. These cause your fireplace to struggle creating the normal flames you enjoy. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help prevent this issue, otherwise you may spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to replace parts.
Fireplace Cleaning
An annual maintenance service is an inspection that looks for any leaks or venting issues, checks the overall functionality of the fireplace, as well as a cleaning and tune up. Gas fireplaces will naturally be safer and last longer with regular maintenance, such as with a furnace, water heater, or dryer.
It’s professionally recommended that gas fireplaces be inspected annually, or semi annually at the very least. Returning customers receive $50 off annual maintenance service with us when their fireplace has been serviced within two years!
